As mentioned in my profile I have been trying to get in this position for ages, near on 20 years. I have been in this position twice before and on both occasions my time has been soaked up with issues more important, family for example. I have two wonderful children. Over the last two years I have been making the necessary adjustments to allow time to paint knowing that I now had the time but much of this was taken up with activities that were not more important. 10" x 8" Oil on canvas paper   I recently discovered the artist Daniel Edmondson who offers online tuition. For me this is the perfect solution to jump start my painting. The above painting is the result of his first lesson and is my version of his painting 'Orange, bowl and grapes'.It's not perfect and is very much a study but I am pleased with how it turned out, and so is Daniel I am pleased to report.
